To become a polymath, one must master key areas of passion, and become competent in all.

What are your key areas of passion?

Two important questions to ask yourself:

1. What makes life worth while?

Why do you do what you do?  Why is anything worth doing?  Make a list of 5 things that are worth living for.

eg: 1. Friendship  2. Discovery  3. Laughter 4.  Growth  5. Triumph

2. What makes life work well?

There are things worth living (or dying for), but there are also things that really enhance quality of life.  What are the things that are not necessarily the driving “why’s” for life, but make all of life’s cogs turn smoothly and cohesively?  What are the things that, if you did not have, would make it very difficult to pursue the things in question #1 ?

eg. 1. Exercise 2. Nutrition 3. Learning  4. Financial independence 5. Reputation
