power evolves from physical, to mental, to emotional.
in early civilizations, those who had physical prowess could exert dominance over their village and other tribes. survival of the fittest.
as civilizations developed, the educated rose to power. those that studied a craft, mastered a skill, and graduated institutions of higher learning were the ones that rose to positions of leadership beyond menial work. birth of the upper class.
now that education is ubiquitous and a college education is ‘standard’, those that master EQ (emotional quotient) and develop the ability to shift and shape people’s emotions are the leaders of tomorrow’s generation. tomorrow’s generation is one that has the choice of where to direct their creative efforts, and their direction will depend on their emotional focus.
so it is with our own personal life. we must master the physical – to be in strong health, so that we can master the mental – to sharpen the mind, so that we can become emotional leaders – and focus people’s attention in the right direction.
